The BIC Group (including Société BIC, its affiliates and subsidiaries and referred to herein as "BIC" or "we") is committed to protecting your online privacy when you visit bic.com ("Site"). The purpose of this privacy notice ("Privacy Notice") is to inform you about the types of information we may collect about you when you visit the Site, how we use it, whether we disclose it to others, and to let you know your rights.

The Site does not require visitors to provide personal information in order to access the public portion of the Site. With the exception of Site usage information and cookies, no personal information is automatically collected about Site visitors. Any other personal data that you may transmit to us will be recovered from the BIC Group's tools according to the pre-existing legal basis such as the execution of a contract or collected with your consent.

You may at any time withdraw or change your consent to our use or disclosure of your personal data, or request that we delete it from BIC's records, subject to legal and contractual restrictions. However, if you choose not to provide us with the personal information necessary for us to provide you with a service offered on the Site, we may not be able to provide that service to you.

We may collect data that you provide to us directly or we may use data collected from other BIC Group IT resources in accordance with the pre-existing legal basis for data collection and processing.

To send you corporate e-mails - Contact data, identity data - Necessary to execute the contract subscribed when purchasing on our Site.

To contact you when you participate in lotteries and contests - Contact data, identity data, other data identified in lottery or contest documentation - Following your express consent when you participate in the lottery or contest. The data you provide will be used by BIC and/or our selected business partner working on behalf of BIC for the purpose of organizing the lottery or contest.

  • "Identity data": including your first name, last name, user name or similar identifier, title;
  • "Marketing and communications data": including your marketing, communications and notification preferences. 5. We do not monitor

Right to object: in certain circumstances, you have the right to object to processing by BIC if (i) the data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests or for the performance of a task in the public interest (including profiling), (ii) the data is used for direct marketing purposes, or (iii) if the data is processed for scientific or historical or statistical purposes. You will be informed that you have the right to object at the point of data collection and that the right to object will be explicitly highlighted and presented clearly and separately from any other information.

Right not to be subjected to automated decisions: where the automated decision produces a legal or similar effect, you have the right not to be subjected to a decision that is based solely on the automated processing.
